Man mugged in Broadfield Park

A man was mugged as he was walking through Broadfield Park at around 08:45am on Monday (14 October 2013).

The victim was approached by two men who asked him for the time.

When the victim got his mobile phone of out his pocket he was forcefully pushed to the ground by one of the offenders, causing him to drop his phone.

Whilst one man picked up the victim's phone, the other kicked the victim in the back and searched through his bag and stole his wallet.

One of the offenders is described as a being a white male who spoke with a local Rochdale accent, around 5’9” and in his mid 30s. He isx said to have short black hair and a number of teeth are missing, with three of his front teeth sticking out. He was wearing a pale blue hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms.

The second offender is described as being a white male wearing a cigarette stained hooded top.

Pc Dave Harrison, said: “The victim has been able to provide an excellent description of one offender in particular and I am certain someone in the community will know who he is.

“Did you see these men together at any point on Monday, have you seen them in and around the area or do you know them? If so please get in touch.”
