The children’s food trust has produced some free resources for parents about preparing nutritious packed lunches and food for the whole family.

You will find packed lunch menus on the website (see above) if you are stuck for ideas.
Just to remind you that you should not include sugary food and drinks in lunchboxes.

We are currently finding that unhealthy lunch boxes have an adverse effect on children’s behaviour in school. If your child is on packed lunches, please ensure they contain healthy and nutritious food. A good example would be: a sandwich with cheese or meat, a piece of fruit and a fresh fruit drink or water.
