Community come together to produce fundraising calendar

Date published: 10 October 2013

The Littleborough community have worked together to produce a calendar to raise money for Littleborough Events and Associations Forum (LEAF), who organise a range of events in Littleborough.

Over 100 photographs were submitted for consideration and members of LEAF chose their favourites to appear in the calendar.

Littleborough resident, Mick Bamford arranged production of the calendar, which was paid for by thirteen local businesses.

LEAF Secretary, Simon France, said "It was a real community effort and we have already had orders from all over the world. We are extremely grateful to the local business who sponsored the calendar and the many people who submitted photographs."

The calendar will go on sale at the Littleborough Farmers' Market and Craft Fair on Sunday. Priced at £4.50, all money raised by calendar will be used to pay for events in Littleborough, such as the Rushbearing Festival, Christmas Lights Switch-on and the Farmers' Market & Craft Fair.

After Sunday, the calendar will be available to purchase from New Street Farm Shop, Best Dressed, The Flower and The Glory, Littleborough Carpets, The Shoe Closet and Flower Borough. It will also be available to buy online at www.littleboroughlocal.co.uk
