Rochdale animals need your help
Date published: 10 April 2008
The RSPCA Rochdale & District Branch are searching for people who love animals, have some spare time and want to make a difference to the community to become volunteers.
The Branch is hosting a Volunteer Open Day on Saturday 26 April, 11.30am to 2.30pm, to provide information about the work of the RSPCA.
Jan Canavan, Rochdale Branch Secretary, said: "Working as a volunteer for the RSPCA is incredibly rewarding and ensures many needy animals around Rochdale receive vital care.”
They are looking for volunteers to help at their animal centre on Redcross Street and to work at charity shops in Rochdale, Middleton, Littleborough and Heywood.
Volunteers could also help with home visits, fostering animals and fundraising.
For more information about the Volunteer Open Day call the centre on 01706 861897.
