Nigel Fowler of Three Owls Bird Sanctuary holds a cheque for £200 donated by Dan Strayer of Arras People, with other Arras employees.
The Three Owls Bird Sanctuary in Norden has benefited from a £200 donation from Arras People, the Heywood-based project management recruitment agency.
Representatives from Arras presented the cheque at the sanctuary and met some of the rare birds housed there.
Nigel Fowler, trustee for the Three Owls, said: “We’re very grateful to Arras People for all the efforts they put into this. We will guarantee that every penny will be put to good use.”
Arras will make donations to two other charities this year, including Heywood Little Monkey’s, a charity geared toward helping vulnerable families and their children.
Candidates that took part in management courses run by Arras People had fees for their sessions donated to one of Arras’ chosen charities and then the company matched that contribution with their own donation.
John Thorpe, a director of Arras People, said: ‘It is great to have a dedicated team who are willing to make time to share their experience and at the same time generate money that goes towards helping others in our local community.”
