Kaleb Taylor home safe and sound

Date published: 10 September 2013

Sixteen year old Kaleb Taylor returned home at 1.00am this morning (Tuesday 10 September) after being missing since Saturday afternoon.

His mum Jamie Lee Heard said: “I’m glad he is home and this is all over with now.”

Kaleb left his family home at Gainsborough Drive, Rochdale at 4.00pm on Saturday. His mum added: “He has told us where he was but we don’t believe him.”

It is understood that Kaleb left home to get away from the estate he is currently living on.

Family friend Paul Whitaker asked Rochdale Online to publish an appeal to help find Kaleb. The article was published at 8.30pm last night (Monday 9 September) and by midnight had been read by over 10,000 people.

Letting Rochdale Online know that Kaleb was home safe and well, Mr Whitaker said: "He's home, safe and well. The news played a big part. Pat on the back to you all. His mum is over the moon. Thank you all so very much."

Jamie Lee added: “The support was really helpful.”

“I didn’t realise how much support we actually had though,” added Jamie Lee. “Everyone shared the information and it just kept going. It was quite shocking to see how many people did it but it was also quite nice to have that support.”

When Rochdale Online spoke to Jamie Lee, Kaleb was back to his normal routine and was back to college.
