Pair charged after girl, 10, found severely malnourished and dehydrated

A man and woman have been charged after a young girl was found severely malnourished and dehydrated.
An investigation was launched in April 2013, when a 10-year-old girl was admitted to hospital for treatment to severe malnutrition, gross nutritional deficiencies, a distended abdomen and chronic ulcers.
Both have been charged with cause/allow a child to suffer serious physical harm.
They are due to appear at Bury Magistrates Court on 23 August 2013.
