Metrolink changes on Sunday 21 July

Metrolink passengers are advised to check their services before travelling this Sunday, as replacement buses will run on some services while improvement works take place.

Double trams will run between Bury and Droylsden via Piccadilly every 12 minutes and trams will also run between East Didsbury and Chorlton every 12 minutes for the whole day.

The following replacement bus services will run on other lines:

  • Rochdale to Chorlton via Manchester City centre calling at all stops except Shudehill and Market Street. For East Didsbury please board tram at Chorlton.
  • Altrincham to Piccadilly calling all stops. For Bury please board trams at Piccadilly or Piccadilly Gardens
  • Eccles to Piccadilly via MediaCityUK and Trafford Bar calling at all stops except Pomona. For Pomona please use bus stop at Exchange Quay. Change at Trafford Bar for buses toward Altrincham.

Passengers should buy tickets from Metrolink ticket machines on stops before using replacement bus services.

Metrolink apologises for any inconvenience during these essential improvement works.
