Date published: 10 June 2013
Industrial Action 27 June 2013
You may be aware that the NASUWT and the NUT have balloted their members for industrial action. The dispute is in connection with the changes proposed to the teachers’ pension schemes, workload, conditions of service including pay and pay progression and job loss.
The school has received notification that the above trade unions which represent teachers within the school intend to take industrial action on Thursday 27 June 2013.
As staff within the school are members of these unions the school will be affected by industrial action.
• Most teachers within the school are members of these unions and have indicated that they intend to take strike action.
We have undertaken a risk assessment for the school and have made the decision to partially close the school.
Pupils in the following classes should NOT come to school:
Reception - Mrs Rahman
Year 1 - Miss Burrows
Year 3 - Mrs Smith
Year 4 - Mr Armstrong
Year 5 - Mrs Richards
Pupils in Years 2 and 6 should attend as normal.
Children should return to school on Friday 28 June 2013.
