Sam Pemberton invited to Lonsdale Day of Champions for golden gloves presentation

Sam Pemberton became the National Schoolboy Boxing Champion at 46kg recently.
He currently holds the number one spot in the country for his age and weight.
Sam was invited to Sheffield Institute of Sports, home of the GB Boxing team, recently where he was presented with his Lonsdale Golden Gloves and met some of the GB Team.
Sam also had the opportunity to meet the England coaches and to see where the GB Boxing team train.
Sam commented that it had been "a brilliant day" and he had met some of his heroes including Anthony Joshua, world championship bronze medalist and London Olympian, Natasha Jonas and Jack Bateson.
Sam, a student at Siddal Moor Sports College, has trained with the England team and is hoping to be invited to compete in Russia with the England team at the European Championships.
