Students raise money for Springhill Hospice

Date published: 02 April 2013

Hopwood Hall College health and social care students have raised an impressive £500 for the Springhill Hospice in Rochdale.

The eight students organised and ran a fundraising event which took place outside Beal’s department store in Rochdale and included a raffle. Prizes were donated by students, College staff, local businesses and family and friends.

Having raised such an impressive amount, the students have been invited to Springhill Hospice to present the cheque to Fundraising and Events Manager, Alison McGuigan, later this month.

Students were delighted with their fundraising efforts and said a big thank you to Keith Rudman, Manager at Beal’s, Rochdale, for all his help and support.
