Clean up in Deeplish continues

Date published: 02 April 2013

Members of the Rochdale Environmental Action Group, staff of the Environmental Management, Councillors Terry Linden and Mohammad Zaman and residents cleaned Pullman Street, Pomona Street, Pike Street, Penrith Street, Cecile Street, Clara Street, Deeplish Road, Clifford Street.

They brought their unused furniture, rubbish and helped clean  the streets and also the back alley of  Pullman and Pomona Streets and the park nearby.

This clean up was planned for Saturday 23 March but, due to heavy snow, had to be postponed to 31 March.

The residents were very pleased with this initiative and thanked the councillors and members of the Rochdale Environmental Action Group. They offered to become volunteers for the Group and assured them that from next week, they will join the Group.
