Two charged with dangerous driving

Two people have been charged with dangerous driving after a traffic collision in Rochdale left three people seriously injured.
A Renault Clio was turning right from Manchester Road into New Barn Lane when it collided with a Noble M12 sports car, which was travelling alongside a Suzuki 750 motorbike in the opposite direction.
The Clio then collided with a pedestrian barrier and the three rear passengers were thrown from the car.
Three women suffered serious injuries. Two are making a slow recovery while the other requires round-the-clock care.
Lee Unwin (born 31/03/71) of Oriel Close, Chadderton, and Joel Wharmby (born 07/08/84) of Victoria Street, Littleborough, have each been charged with dangerous driving.
They are due to appear before Rochdale Magistrates' Court on Tuesday 25 March 2008.
The collision happened on Saturday 29 September 2007.
