Coffee morning and Big Cake Bake ( . . . and eat!) at St Andrew's, Dearnley, Littleborough
We are happy at St Andrew's, the parish church of Dearnley and Smithy Bridge, to see a gradually increasing number of new faces in Church on Sunday mornings so with that in mind we feel it will be beneficial to the parish as a whole to publish a list of our Church officers and focus groups.

Contributors to the magazine, The Fisherman, are reminded that the deadline for articles in the September issue is Sunday, August 16.
Most people will be aware by now that the Vicar's Garden Party at Wardle, in aid of Wider Welcome, will take place this Saturday afternoon, July 28, from 3.00pm onwards.
Admission is £5 -- children free -- and there will be a barbeque and other refreshments.
Anyone willing to help will be warmly welcomed, as will the donation of prizes for the raffle.
Please note that on Monday week, August 6, at 7.30pm enrolment to the Mothers' Union will take place and that on Wednesday, August 22, we will be running a trip to Cartmel Priory on the top side of Morecambe Bay, not far from Grange-over-Sands.
Speak to Jean Townshend for more information on both the enrolment and the trip to Cartmel. Alternatively, for the trip, just add your name to the list that is posted in the parish room.
It's business as usual on Sunday, July 29, with Eucharist at 8.00am and Sung Eucharist at 10.00am.
