Events on the highway and roadworks

Olympic Torch Relay Saturday 23 June 2012 

Delays expected from 1.00pm until 3.30pm along the following route: Rochdale: Edenfield Road, Sandy Lane, Bury Road, College Road, Newgate, The Esplanade, Manchester Road, Bolton Road Heywood: Rochdale Road East, York Street, Market Street, Bridge Street, Bury Street, Bury New Road

In addition to the above, temporary waiting restrictions will be in force along sections of the following roads: Edenfield Road, Sandy Lane, Newgate, The Esplanade, Bolton Road, Rochdale Road East.

Olympic Torch Town Centre Events - South Parade, Road closure from 11.15am until 1.15pm

Olympic Torch Town Centre Events - Baillie Street and Yorkshire Street, Road closures from 5.00am until 10.00pm

Friday 22 June 2012 (from 3.00pm) until Saturday 23 June 2012 (until 8.00pm)
Olympic Torch Town Centre Events - The Esplanade (car parking area immediately to front of Town Hall)

Whitworth Road, Rochdale (NEW) - at its junctions with Fieldhouse Road & Mizzy Road
Temporary 4-way signals to facilitate access to carriageway boxes

30 June 2012 only from 7.00am
Edenfield Road, Rochdale (NEW) - at its junction with Caldershaw Road Temporary 3-way signals to facilitate access to carriageway boxes 

27 June 2012 until 30 June 2012, 9.30am to 3.30pm
Green Lane, Heywood (NEW) - near its junction with Cross Street (outside Callaghan House) Temporary 2-way signals to facilitate BT duct laying etc
