Honresfeld’s Jubilee Celebrations

Honresfeld, Leonard Cheshire Disability Home, celebrated the Jubilee on Monday 4 June, with festivities running throughout the day and into the evening.
HM The Queen is Patron of Leonard Cheshire Disability and money was raised nationwide in her honour, as well as celebrating the Diamond Jubilee.
The family fun day included face painting, a bungee-run bouncy castle and stalls for craft and jewellery. This coincided with the cricket match, which families enjoyed watching in the sunny weather.
100 tickets were sold for the evenings events. The highlight was Jimmy Cricket’s comedy, providing laughs for all. The evening also included singing from Takethemike and a potato pie supper.
Danielle Turner, organiser of the events, said: “The service users had a fantastic time and all of the events were a great hit.”
The total funds raised for the Honresfeld home reached almost £1,000. Everyone at Honresfeld has shown their thanks to those that supported the celebrations and helped with fundraising.
The Honresfeld home provides a range of services for adults with physical and neurological disabilities.
