The cakes arrived in many shapes and sizes and were judged by local Vicar Marcia Wall and local resident Teresa Fitzsimons who evaluated them on look, taste and theme.
Residents were also treated to entertainment from Matt Brobin High Tea and a ‘Spot the most patriotic outfit competition’.
Resident Mrs Smith of Londsdale Chase who’s lovely iced jam and cream sponge won 1st prize in the bake off said: ‘It was a real surprise to win, it was a wonderful day and it was great to meet other residents too!’
