Fire fighters are trying to control a huge blaze in Littleborough following an explosion at a factory.
Emergency services arrived at the factory on Calderbrook Road at around 1pm on Monday and ten fire crews began to tackle the blaze.
Two factory workers have been taken to hospital after suffering from burns, although neither is believed to be in a life threatening condition.
A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service said that a 23 year old man was airlifted to hospital after suffering ‘extensive’ burns to his torso. Another man has been taken to hospital for treatment after suffering contamination from bitumen.
