Ambulance service to host tweet chat with Deputy Chief Executive
Date published: 19 April 2012
Ambulance service Chief Executive Bob Williams will answer questions via Twitter on Friday 20 April between 3pm and 4pm giving the public a unique opportunity to quiz an expert.
The twitter based discussion, known as a tweet-chat, will allow the general public to ask the Deputy Chief Executive anything they want over 60 minutes. Bob will be live online to answer as many questions as he can.
A spokesperson for NWAS said: “People generally only call an emergency service in situations of panic so don’t have a full understanding of what we do. For example, many people don’t realise that calling 999 doesn’t always mean an ambulance response; sometime patients are directed to other places for more appropriate treatment.
"Through this tweet-chat we’re hoping to give the public and our patients the opportunity to speak to someone in the know about anything and everything to do with the ambulance service, in the hope that we can inform and educate about the vital service we provide.”
Taking place on Friday 20 April, between 3.00pm and 4.00pm, people can follow the chat using the hashtag (#) AskBobW.
