Flaunt your flowers

RBH tenants are being given the opportunity to flaunt their flowers again in the search for the ‘best garden in the borough’.

Tenants are being encouraged to put their green fingers to good work as RBH search for the best garden by an RBH tenant in each housing management area.

Communities First Coordinator, Ruth Sillence, said: “This is a great way for tenants to improve their environment and get involved in an event that brings people together from all walks of life.”

“Last year and the competition was very strong, so now is the time to spring clean your garden after the winter, spruce up your garden boxes or brighten up a communal area with some colourful flowers and plants.”

Short-listed entrants will be invited to a presentation in the autumn where there will be trophies and prizes awarded to the winners.

“There’s a category to suit everyone,” added Ruth. “So, get in touch and we’ll send you an entry form.”

The closing date for entries is Friday 22d June and the judging will take place the week commencing the 2 July.
