Young people outside Touchstones
Young people had the opportunity to discover the hidden gems included in the various exhibitions in the museum and art galleries at Touchstones on an educational visit organised by the Aspire Generations Group.
Attia Irshad Female Empowerment Officer for the AGG group said: “Its great to see young people coming together and visiting history and heritage centres. These types of excursions are very important in enhancing young people’s development to become active members of society.”
Community Focus Ltd a new social enterprise in the youth and community sector, supported this heritage project. Mohammad Quasim, a member, said: “Promoting history and heritage and involving local community members is an integral part of our work.
"History is very important in terms of contemporary society as we can learn a colossal amount of lessons from the past which can help us prosper in modern society.”
