Suspected counterfeit goods - two from Rochdale charged

Two people from Rochdale are amongst a number of people charged following the recovery of millions of pounds worth of suspected counterfeit goods.
Sultan Mahmood (born 17/12/1957) of Milkstone Road and Taiba Parsa (born 15/04/1986) of Drake Street are charged with conspiracy to acquire criminal property and conspiracy to fraudulently evade any duty chargeable on goods.
Charged with Mahmood and Parsa are Sarwari Dlaghue (born 01/01/1980), of Ballater Walk, Cheetham Hill, Agha Khan (born 01/06/1985), of Ballater Walk, Cheetham Hill, Ayesha Sarwary (born 15/10/1982) of Alexandra Road, Manchester, Monika Jama (born 19/12/1978) of Osterley Road, Blackley, and Mahmood Shah (born 17/10/1968) of Hilton Crescent, Prestwich,
A number of those charged are due before Trafford Magistrates' Court on 12 April 2012.
It follows an investigation by the Operation Bank team of Stretford CID into the recovery of over £4.5m worth of suspected counterfeit goods, including clothing and watches, in November 2011.
