Three boys rescued from pontoon on Hollingworth Lake

Three boys were rescued from a pontoon stranded approximately 40 metres from the bank of Hollingworth Lake.
Fire-fighters from Rochdale and Littleborough, assisted by a water incident unit from Heywood fire station, were called to Hollingworth Lake at 8.20pm on Saturday night (24 March).
The three boys were rescued by fire service water rescue technicians, towing the pontoon to shore using a hansa board.
They were checked over by paramedics and found to be unharmed.
