Many thanks to all the parents, families and friends who attended our 'The Vibe' Music Concert this week. The concert showcased work by bands, groups and solists from all years and was organised by our fantastic Year 10 BTEC Music group. A lovely evening was enjoyed by all and there were some impressive pieces of music performed to the highest standards. Many thanks to Ms Williams for all her hard work in overseeing the event.

There are just a few places left for our London visit that takes place on Friday 10 and 11 May. The overnight visit features a trip to the Westend to see the stage version of 'The Woman In Black' and a visit to Warner Bros. Studio Tour to see 'The Making of Harry Potter'. The visit is open to all years. Please see Mr De Courcey or Mr Morley for a letter.

Our Year 7 CALL Visit to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and Leeds City Museum takes place on two dates next term; we hope that all students from Year 7 can join us on what should be a fantastic learning event. Letters are available from CALL teachers or Mr De Courcey and should be returned to your CALL teacher or to the CEPA Office.

Ms Wystawnoha and Mr De Courcey took Year 9 and 10 BTEC Dance learners to the Rose Theatre at Edge Hill University last week to see the contemporary dance, 'Gameshow' performed by Company Chameleon. The piece featured physical theatre, video and a range of dance techniques to powerful effect. Well done to all the students who came along to the show in the evening.

Tickets for our April Dance Show are now available from the CEPA Office. The show features a range of dance performances from students across years. Tickets are available only in advance and cost £3.50. They are sold on a 'first come, first served' basis.

There are a few places left for our Italian Cookery Community session on the 27 March. The two hour workshop is for families or adults and is led by our very own resident Italian chef. Many thanks to those people who have already signed up to the event and we look forward to seeing you at Reception on the day. For more information on this event, please contact Mr De Courcey directly at school.

Year 8 Options meeting for pupils and parents/carers will continue through this week and next week. Your child will have details of where and when the meeting will take place. The meeting is with your child’s tutor and a senior member of staff and will be a discussion about which subjects and pathway your child is taking in Year 9. If you have any concerns please contact the tutor at school.

All pupils and parents are invited to attend Academic Reviews to discuss their child’s progress. Some Reviews took place last Thursday and the remainder will be on Thursday 29 March. Parents and carers will be notified either by post or via letters brought home with pupils. If you do not receive an invitation to this important meeting please contact your child’s tutor at school.

Term ends on Friday 30 March at 2.45pm and pupils return to school on Tuesday 17 April at 8.25am. We hope everyone has a restful holiday and good weather to enjoy themselves. We also expect Year 11 pupils to be using their revision timetables and to be revising for forthcoming exams. Remember, passing exams isn’t luck, it is hard work and planning.
