Fundraisers seek competitors for ‘knockout’ event
Date published: 19 March 2012
The organisers of a phenomenal White Collar Boxing event are calling on men and women from across the borough to sign up to their charity challenge.
After last year’s huge success, organisers of the event, held at the Soccer Village, are looking for participants, between the ages of 20 - 65 years old.
Organised by friends Crain Fisher, Paul Wallis and Shaun Clancy, to raise money for local charities, those who sign up will be placed on a 12 week training programme to ensure they are fighting fit.
Last year’s event saw over 1,000 people pack into the Soccer Village to watch 15 bouts, which raised thousands of pounds for local charities including Springhill Hospice.
A signing on night for anyone who is interested in this year’s event will take place on Friday 30 March from 7.30pm at the Soccer Village in Milnrow.
The main event will take place on Friday 6 July at The Soccer Village.
