Rochdale Conservative Association elects new chairman

Councillor Shah Wazir has been elected the Chairman of the Rochdale Conservative Association.
Councillor Wazir was elected to the position at the Annual General Meeting of the Association.
He said: “It is an honour and a privilege to be the chairman of Rochdale Conservative Association.
“I always believe in collective team effort and working together and serving the local communities.
“The Conservative Party is all about the family and doing the right thing for our country which is now needed more then ever before.
“As a Chairman of Rochdale Conservative Association I will make sure that this message is delivered at every door step in Rochdale.
“We have more Conservative councillors in Rochdale Council now then ever before and we also have a very committed and hard working team in place to serve the residents of Rochdale Borough.”
Councillor Ashley Dearnley welcomed the appointment and looked forward to working with Councillor Wazir to ensure more Conservative Councillors are elected in the years ahead, with the ultimate aim to elect a Conservative MP.
