Statements to live by:
I understand what trust means.
We strive to instil within the children a sense of belonging within a range of communities and for them to play an active role as members of society.
Mother’s Day assembly:
On Tuesday 13 March, Class 1 held a Mother’s Day Assembly where they talked about Mother’s Day and the daily chores of a mum.
Through role play, the children acted out the duties of a mother and also presented a slide show of pictures they had drawn of their mums.
Happy Mother’s Day to all mums.
Poem for Mother’s Day:
Children in year groups 3 to 6 were invited to take part in a competition to write a short poem about their mothers. The rules were that poem should be between 50 and 100 words in English.
Councillor Mohammed Zaman collected them on Thursday, 15 March to submit them to an independent panel for judging.
Winners of the competition will be invited to a Mothers Day event at Deeplish Community Centre on Sunday 18 March to receive their prizes and invited to Crescent Radio to read out their poems in a live programme at later date.

Our school council are continuing the campaign on litter around the school. On Thursday they chatted live on air with a presenter from Crescent Radio about the problem.
