Spring has now arrived for us at Healey and helping to encourage the bike and scooter riders. Next week is the third and final week of The Big Pedal and on Friday we are hosting a Bike It Breakfast again – all the children plus Mums, Dads and any supporter also travelling by bike is eligible to come and join in our breakfast.

Next week we have a special assembly for Mediquip for Kids fundraising which will be followed by a sponsored walk round the field on Friday.

ROBINWOOD – There is a parents evening for all parents and children who are taking part in the residential trip on the last three days of this term. It is essential that all parents attend this meeting which will be short, but have all the information and paperwork you need to ensure the trip goes ahead smoothly for your child.

On Tuesday it is the Hans Christian Andersen Workshop for the whole school, we still have some outstanding payments for this so please can you check with your child if payment of £1 has been made.

Well done to the children who were presented with the Achievement Award last Friday:
Reception: Salahuddin Ibn-Qayyum
Year 1: Bwalya Kasase
Year 2: Imogen Zallmann
Year 3: Kallim Greenwood
Year 4: Holly Burrows
Year 5: Megan Hughes
Year 6: Kate Hemmings

Best attendance was Reception with 98.7% and whole school was 97.3%.

The Music festival has now finished for us with a super performance from the strings group. Well done to all the children who made such a super effort. On Saturday 24th the Choir and Dance groups have been invited to perform in the Rochdale Youth Orchestra Spring Concert. This is quite an honour for us and we hope that parents and family members are able to come along and watch.

Finally, we are very proud of our Year 4 pupil Fallon who is attempting a gruelling 2,000 metre swim at Heywood Swimming Pool on Wednesday 21st March. Fallon is swimming in aid of our pupils and PTA to raise money for picnic/games tables for outside. Please sponsor as much as you can, the children are keen to have these tables and they will be all weather so Mums and Dads will finally have somewhere to sit and wait.
