32 Medals for The Dojo Kids
Seventeen members of The Dojo Karate Centre have returned from the UMA Children’s Championships in Derby with 32 medals.
The haul is just the start for the members – who won 124 in 2011, 40 of which were from the World Championships in Italy.
Coach Irfan Ansari, said: “Outstanding performances were from Saachi, Mikayil, Mason, Huseyn, Kieren, Adeel, Vanessa, Antonio and Saif.
“With most of them competing for the first time - the results were great.
“For the Pairs Kata event, in the opinion of the Judges and other Coaches The Dojo Teams were ‘simply outstanding.’
“From around 12 Teams, The Dojo pairs teams were positioned 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. And, the same was the case for the 13-15 year-olds fighting for up to purple belts.”
