This year’s ski trip to Andorra was once again successful. The behaviour of the group was excellent throughout the week and the pupils were a credit to the College. Those pupils who went on the trip as beginners were able to ski well by the end of the week. All the more experienced skiers made good progress and improved their skiing ability. Letters for next year’s trip will be available soon.

Year 7 pupils at HBEC are delighted to take part in the popular national reading challenge: Readathon! From Thursday 1st March until Thursday 22nd March most of our Year 7 pupils will be reading and collecting as many sponsors as possible to raise money for two children's charities. Not only is this a fantastic opportunity for pupils to discover and read a range of new novels, it is also encouraging them to raise awareness and funds for two very worthy causes: Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children and CLIC cancer charity. Good luck Year 7!

The Music Department are putting on a variety of activities throughout the week:

Mondays: Ukulele Club in Room 004, 3pm to 4pm and 4pm to 5pm. No experience necessary. Everyone welcome!

Wednesdays: Vocal Group in Room 004 with Mr K (singing teacher) 3pm to 4pm. Pupils will be singing a wide range of popular songs and learning to become a stronger singer at the same time.

Thursdays: Jam Sessions, 2pm to 3pm. If you would like to start a band or have a go on instruments such as electric guitar or drums, come to Room 004.
