Saint Cuthbert High School
This week’s theme was Lent and Preparation for Holy Week. Our Enterprise capability was RESEARCH & ANALYSIS and Year Seven’s focus was CREATIVITY & INNOVATION.
Welcome back to everyone – we hope you had a restful half term. The term has begun in the usual busy fashion with Year groups making decisions about local charities to benefit from Lenten fundraising.
Thank you to those teachers and students who came into school during half term to take part in extra lessons during the holiday. After school booster sessions are now in place – please check with subject teachers.
The Year 8 Modern Foreign Languages Trip to Euro Disney was a huge success again this year, with more than 60 children taking part! Thank you to all of the teachers who accompanied the students. Also, thank you to the Expressive Arts Faculty for arranging the trip to London for students to watch a performance of Wicked and take part in a workshop at the Pineapple Dance Studio as well as a visit to the Tate Modern. Once again, we are extremely proud of the impeccable behaviour of all our students who took part in these initiatives.
The facilities in our Partnership Learning Centre are available for parents and for any Parish Groups who wish to produce resources for church or develop their own learning. Please speak to Louise Moore for details (01706 647761).
