Healey Primary School
A big thank you to Chantelle Martyn for the Zumba Classes she provided for all year groups throughout the school. Everyone was involved, and exhausted by the end of their session on Tuesday.
Well done to the following pupils who received the award in the week before half-term:
Reception: Jessica Bonde
Year 1: Amelia Roberts
Year 2: Daniel Kelly
Year 3: Charlotte Ward
Year 4: Alex Butterworth
Year 5: Amelia Cook
Year 6: Jake Watson
The best attendance cup went to Year 6.
The Rochdale Festival starts next week and we have children entered in dance and woodwind solos/duets on Monday at the Riverside in Whitworth. Please can you make sure if your child is taking part in any of the Festival Classes that you are clear about the arrangements. For some classes we ask that the children be picked up from the venue rather than back here at school. Please also be aware that some classes overrun and we are not always able to predict when the children will be returning to school. Parents are invited to support their children for their performances and all performances are free. All children taking part should have brought home a permission slip, we are not able to take your child along unless the slip has signed and returned. Your music lesson invoices to cover this half-term should already be with you.
One week left to The Big Pedal which runs from 5 to 23 March. Once again we are going for the best response in the area. Now would be a good time to drag the cycles out of the shed and pump up the tyres. Mums and Dads are encouraged to join in – the summer fitness starts here!
