Catering students help out dinner club after funding cut

Community-minded catering students from Hopwood Hall College have been cooking for guests at a local dinner club since the College found out that their funding had been cut.
For three days a week since October last year, the College’s Level 1 Catering students from have been cooking up delicious lunches for the Demesne Dinner Club in Middleton.
The young chefs have been keeping the appetites satisfied of the guests at Demesne Dinner Club by producing quality home cooked dishes such as Lancashire hot pot, roast chicken and lamb casseroles.
Their tutor Paul Fino says that diners have really enjoyed the experience and feedback has been positive.
Reece Hunt and Bradley McCarrol, Level 1 Professional Cookery students at Hopwood Hall College said: “We really enjoy cooking fresh wholesome food and being able to help the local community.”
