Three up and coming ‘chefs of the future,’ all students at Hopwood Hall College have taken third place at this year’s Brakes Young Team Chef Competition in Sheffield.
Accompanied by their Chef Lecturer and mentor, Bryan Townson, they prepared three regional dishes to an exceptionally high standard.
Michael Blakeborough, NVQ Level 3 Professional Cookery, Marc Rothwell and Hermann Göhtt, VRQ Level 2 Professional Cookery students, worked together to produce three dishes using locally sourced ingredients, within a fixed price.
Impressing all three judges from across the country, they successfully managed to produce an exceptional menu gaining them the third place medal at this year’s regional finals.
