Congratulations to everyone involved in the College Production of ‘We Will Rock You’ being shown on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Family and friends were treated to an outstanding opening performance by the cast. We would like to thank the staff for giving up their time to help. Thank you.
Congratulations to our Under 14s Girls’ Football Team. They won the Rochdale Football League last week for the third successive year. The girls played some fantastic football throughout the tournament, being undefeated all season. The prize is that the team, apart from retaining the cup and receiving winner’s medals, now go through to represent Rochdale in the Northern Regional Finals. The players this year were: Katie Newton, Holly Coburn, Chloe Newton, Alicia Stretton, Ellie Doggett, Anais Morris, Casey Stretton and Athena Wellens. Well done girls.
Well done to Ellie Beale, Emma Cooke, Robyn Hartley and Jessica Smith who won the Key Stage 3 Rochdale Schools’ Badminton Tournament; this now puts them through to the next round playing schools outside the borough.
The Design & Technology Department will be running a competition every month. For details of February’s competition and how to enter, pupils can visit the D&T notice board next to Room 027. Good luck.
There are still several items of lost property that have not been claimed. If pupils have lost any items, i.e. keys, PE kit, glasses, etc., please ask at Pupil Reception as items not claimed by half term will be disposed of.
Diary Dates:
10 February: College closes for half term.
20 February: College reopens - exams and assessments continue.
