Healey Primary School
Next week is a very busy week before the half-term break. The PTA are organising a Valentine’s Disco for the children on Thursday from 4.30pm until 6.00pm. Children should be collected promptly from the Main Hall with the usual arrangements. Please make sure you have returned the pink ticket request slip if you want your child to go. It will be a fun disco with games and activities and a lovely way to end the half term.
On Monday and Tuesday there is a Parents Evening for YEAR 5 ONLY parents should have already received and returned the appointment slip.
Last week the choir performed at the Young Voices Concert at the MEN Arena. Although this is a long day, it is a memorable experience and as always the children were a credit to you as parents. Well done to the children who were presented with the Achievement Cup a week ago:
Reception: Natalya Bell
Year 1: Max Reeves
Year 2: Adam Butterworth
Year 3: Kayleigh Mills
Year 4: Lauren McHale
Year 5: Alicia Darling
Year 6: Furqan Mushtaq
Attendance was outstanding again at 98% with Year 3 managing 100% two weeks running.
Last Friday the superstars were;
Reception: Louis Watson
Year 1: Kayne Byrne
Year 2: Sebastian Buckley
Year 3: Elliot Buckley
Year 4: Ethan Tattersall
Year 5: Sofia Riley
Year 6 : Brooke Gosling.
Year 4 had 100% attendance, but Year 3 had almost perfect attendance for the third week running. Super!
We would like to send a HUGE thank you to Michelle and Donna from the Ladies Only Gym for the fantastic Hula Hoop session they ran with Year 5. The children were seriously challenged by the exercises but eventually everyone managed to master the art of hooping and most have taken away a lovely stripy hoop to continue their keep fit regime at home.
Many thanks to all the parents who offered their continued support at the recent meeting. If you were unable to make the meeting please go to www.pta.org.uk and click on 'find my PTA' and type in Healey Foundation Primary School. We have some exciting events in the pipeline and would welcome any further support.
School will close for the half-term on Friday 10 and reopen Monday 20 February. Dinner money for the half term until Easter is £54.
