Stick at it: Student’s work on display at museum
Date published: 27 January 2012
A Rochdale student’s unique art work has gone on display at the Museum of Science and Industry.
17-year-old Abbie-Lee Hollister, an A-level student from Wardle High School, has created sculptures and dresses out of sellotape – and this week her work was displayed to the public.
The one day exhibition is just the start for Miss Hollister. She is returning to the museum in July to display her work and teach a class. She will also be teaching a class at Eureka in Halifax in August.
The teen’s project has received huge backing. She has been sent 80 rolls of tape from Sellotape to assist her and the company is now going to feature her work in their promotions.
And, later this year Littleborough based shop Occasions and Celebrations will use the work in their window display.
