The week ahead:
Saturday 28 January 5.30pm – Mass:
Children on the Sacramental programme are expected to attend the 5.30pm Mass on Saturday as part of their preparation for Confirmation and First Holy Communion.
Monday 30 January 9.15am - Musical Performance:
Parents with children in years 3, 4 and 5 will be able to watch the musical performance which the children have been working on with their teachers and the music teacher over the past few months. It is spectacular focussing on story and song from Cameroon. Not to be missed!
Monday 6 February - Relay of Prayer:
We are involved in the Salford Diocese relay of prayer along with all other Catholic schools in Rochdale.
On Monday 6 February the torch will be brought to St John’s from St Vincent’s Primary school and they will present an assembly here on the subject of the country they have been allocated.
On Tuesday 7 February it will be our turn to take the torch to Sacred Heart Primary School with the support of the Rochdale Cycling Club. We will present a short assembly at Sacred Heart School on the subject of our allocated country which is Lithuania.
Golden book awards:
The Golden Book awards are for children have tried their best in all areas with politeness and respect.

Class 3: Joshua and Oyinkan
Class 4: Michalina and Maria
Class 5: Farhana and Natalia
Class 6: Adham and Elizabeth
Certificate Awards:
Awards for last week went to Class 6 for highest attendance and also for good behaviour in and around the school.

Parent/teacher meetings:
Thank you to all parents of Foundation Stage children for attending their parent/teacher meetings.
Attendance/punctuality:
Please ensure your child is in school before the 9am start. If your child is not going to be in school due to illness, then please let the office know before 9am if possible.
