A reminder to parents and carers of Year 9 students that Options evening takes place in school on Thursday 26 January. Could students in forms 9A, 9B, 9C and 9D arrive for a 6.00pm start in the theatre with their parents/carers, and students in 9E, 9F, 9G and 9H arrive in the theatre ready for a 6.45pm start. Following a short talk, there will be opportunities to visit the various stalls to speak with teachers about the option subjects we offer. There will also be representatives from a range of colleges, sixth forms and work-based learning providers should you wish to discuss option choices in reference to post 16 progression. Congratulations to our Year 7 and 8 girls footballers, who represented Rochdale in regional finals last Friday at Bury Football Club. They played so well beating Morecambe by 6 goals to nil and Preston North End by 6 goals to 4. After also drawing 2 all with Tranmere Rovers they reached the semi-finals, narrowly missing out to Blackpool. They played so well and we are really proud of them, so a massive well-done to Mio Griffiths, Moet Griffiths, Georgina Butterworth, Kainat Nafees, Alex Bagshaw, Rebecca Marshall, Sophie Charlton and Megan Ratu.
