Man charged following arson at flats

A man has been charged in connection with arson at an apartment block in Heywood.
Daniel Byrom, 35, of High Street, Heywood, is charged with arson with intent to endanger life.
He is due to appear at Bury Magistrates’ Court today (Monday 16 January).
Shortly before 11.00pm on 13 January 2012, police were called to High Street following reports of a fire.
Officers attended and discovered a fire had been started inside the block of flats.
Four people, including a baby, were rescued by fire-fighters.
