The new extension:
The new school extension is now open and in use. There is still quite a lot to do before the interior is finally complete but we are going to arrange for opportunities for parents to see the new facilities in a few weeks time.

UNICEF Good Practice Review:
Our school has been reviewed over the past 3 years by research done on behalf of UNICEF. Here are some quotes from the final review which we have just received:

‘The school has a reputation in the local community for being very inclusive and the community recognises what the school contributes to it’.

‘Children understand their rights and responsibilities and use this as a basic value system for life moving well beyond the ‘good’ behaviour seen in effective schools generally’.

‘All children here are given a chance – whether they take it or not is another matter but they are all given it – no-one is left out’.

A full copy of the report is available from the school office on request.

Statements to live by:

I listen to what you say. I show that I am listening to you.

We strive to instil within the children a sense of belonging within a range of communities and for them to play an active role as members of society.
