Fire damages flat above takeaway

A flat above a takeaway was damaged after a fire in the early hours of this morning. (11 January).
Fire-fighters from Rochdale Fire Station were called to Hafiz Takeaway on Spotland Road at around 1.20am.
There were several seats of fire in the flat and a joint investigation between the fire service and the police is now underway to establish a cause.
Crews used a positive pressure ventilator, two hose reels and four breathing apparatus to fight the fire.
