Father Christmas runners pledge over £3k to Springhill Hospice
Date published: 09 January 2012
Keen fundraisers have pledged over £3,000 to Springhill Hospice following a Father Christmas fun run held in December.
The fun run – an annual event in the hospice’s fundraising calendar – saw over 100 people donning Father Christmas suits walk, run and jog around Hollingworth Lake to raise money.
Although money is still coming in the event’s organisers say that between £3,000 and £3,500 in sponsorship has been pledged by those who took part.
The money raised will go towards the general running costs of the hospice
