Tree in restaurant grounds blown over in high winds

Andrew Nutter stood on the fallen in tree at Nutters, Norden
A 70ft tree in the grounds of Nutters restaurant in Norden has been blown over following high winds.
The tree – believed to date back to 1850 – was discovered by the restaurant’s proprietor Andrew Nutter on Thursday morning following terrible gales on Wednesday night.
In a post on Twitter, Mr Nutter said: “Tree down. Good job no one sat under it. But will fuel our fires for a year!!!”
He later added: “70ft tree dating to 1850 toppled in [Nutters] Rochdale."
