A pair of managers from Hopwood Hall College have raised £160.26 for the Borough of Rochdale Fund.
Karen Humphrey and Michelle Green organised a stall for the Cultural Craft Bazaar - a joint venture between CVS Rochdale and the Rochdale Exchange.
CVS Rochdale requests a voluntary donation from stall holders for the Borough of Rochdale Fund – but the ladies decided to go the extra mile and donate all of their proceeds.
The entrepreneurial women approached Warburton’s Bakery, asking them to donate some baked goods to sell on their charity stall, and, in true festive spirit, they kindly obliged.
Michelle Green said: “Hopwood Hall College would like to say a big thank you to Timothy Green, Elaine Howarth, Sue Jones and Ernie Slack from Warburton’s Bakery in Bolton for organising the donation and delivery of vast amount of products that were sold out in less than 2 hours.
“Elaine and Sue organised the order and Ernie delivered the products on a very cold, rainy morning.
“Two stalls were packed with a huge selection of different products that disappeared from the stall so fast, that the day ended too quickly.
“The team was rushed of their feet and really enjoyed it and has agreed to return to help out again in January.”
