Staff and students from Rochdale Sixth Form College have put on two action-packed evenings of entertainment at their annual Christmas production – Festive Fusion II.
Over 300 friends and family members enjoyed the shows which took place in the College theatre.
Guests were entertained by eighty Year 12 and 13 students who showcased the skills they’d honed during their enrichment classes, carried out alongside their A Level studies, which include dance, drama and music.
The College’s dancers showed off their ballet, jazz and Bollywood dance skills; drama students performed an extract from the College’s theatre company 'Act on It'; while the College choir and rock band flexed their vocal chords, singing an extract from the College’s upcoming musical of We Will Rock You.
Gerard Garvey, Curriculum Area Leader for Arts and Technology at Rochdale Sixth Form College, said: “We had a great turn out on each night, and a very positive reception from the audience.
“We’re incredibly lucky to have such a dedicated group of students here at the College, all with a diverse range of skills and talents, which made for a varied and entertaining Christmas production.
“The staff that took part did themselves proud as well.”
