Christmas and New Year service changes

Rochdale Borough Council has announced details of opening times over the Christmas and New Year period.
The contact centre phone lines will close at 1.00pm on Christmas Eve and reopen at 8.00am on Wednesday 28 December. Lines close again at 1.00pm on New Years Eve, reopening on 3 January at 8.00am.
Walk-in council customer service centres close at 4.00pm on Friday (23 December) and re-open on Tuesday 3 January. Rochdale Customer Services will open on 28, 29 and 30 December.

Libraries are closed on 26 and 27 December and on 2 January. They will close at their usual times on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve apart from Rochdale Central Library which will close at 4.00pm.
Surestart Children’s Centres are closed on 26, 27 December and 2 January. Some are open 28-30 December.
The festive season won’t spell disruption for bin collections, with all bins being picked up as normal on the usual days. Crews will be working between Christmas and New Year, including the Bank Holiday on Tuesday 27 December.
All main Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH) offices are closed over the festive season – from 24 December to 3 January inclusive, but a 24 hour emergency callout service will be in operation - 0845 076 3636.
Sheltered Housing Wardens and Domestics will be on duty on 29 and 30 December during normal office hours. And throughout the festive season there will be a mobile warden on duty 24 hours a day.
The Vision for Kirkholt housing office in Kirkholt will be closed from Thursday 23 December to Tuesday 4 January.
Main Link4Life leisure centres at Heywood Sports Village, Middleton Arena and Rochdale Central Leisure – together with Touchstones Arts and Heritage Centre in Rochdale - will open every day except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day although on some days opening hours will be reduced. Marland Golf Course will be open every day except Christmas Day.
Hollingworth Lake Visitors Centre is open every day apart from Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
