Wardle High School has hosted a sell out night of bands and entertainment.

The school’s annual Christmas Extravaganza saw a full house of 400 guests attend for a night of Christmas entertainment from the school musical groups.

The groups included: Junior Blast, Choir, Training Band, Folk Group, School Band, Big Band, The Matt Pack + 1, Junior Band, Wind Band and Youth Band. The musical groups were conducted by Lee Rigg, Gwen Smith and Jane Conway.

Director of Performing Arts Janet Emsley was the Compère for the evening. She said: “Once again a brilliant night's entertainment, the standard of playing, singing and dancing was very high.

“The students and staff worked hard to produce some stunning performances.

“We look forward to seeing many of our students, parents and carers, friends and neighbours at the Wardle Christmas Tree on Christmas Eve to share in our carolling. Happy Christmas everyone, and have a peaceful and prosperous New Year 2012.”
