Artists founder's plate awarded
Date published: 20 December 2011
Members of Rochdale Artists celebrated another fantastic year of events, demonstrations and exhibitions for the local art group with their annual competitive Founder's Plate evening.
The night is an opportunity for each member to submit one piece of artwork from the past year to be judged by an external local artist.
This year's competition was won by Lorraine Dewhirst with her amazing acrylic piece titled "This one's mine!" and was judged by Phyllis Hargreaves.
Based at the Castleton Community Centre, the society meets on a weekly basis and have a wide range of events and evenings planned for next year, as well as a current winter exhibition at Littleborough Coach House on until 7 January 2012.
