The Enterprise words of the week are “Problem Solving” and the Year 7 pupils will also be concentrating on the Enterprise skill of “Teamwork.”
Year seven took part in making a Matryoshka (Russian doll) Christmas decoration competition. All of the entries are now displayed on one of 100 Christmas trees in St James’ Church in Newark, the organisers of the competition.
The winners were: 1st Clareese Boluch, 2nd Ireneusz Kula, 3rd Dana Parry
Another seven of our pupils work was highly commended: Matilda Mupfudza, Jakub Dinnen, Ethan Cadd, Katie Suthers, Scot Cullen, Dylan Robinson and Rosie Berry.
Wonderful work everyone!
The college play “Westside Story” took to the stage for feeder primary schools on Tues 6 Dec. The evening performances followed on the 8, 9 and 10 Dec. Over 90 students were involved and it most certainly was a real team effort creating a dynamic and professional performance. A twelve piece orchestra created an amazing sound. The audience were thrilled by the talent of all the pupils and the show was a tremendous success.
The end of the term will be celebrated by all year groups with Mass.
College closes at ten to three on Friday 16 December 2011.
We wish all our students and their families a Happy and Holy Christmas and a Joyful New Year.
